From distributor to manufacturer

Litec S.r.l. was founded in Oderzo, Treviso, Italy, initially involved in the distribution of professional show-business equipment in Italy.

• 1993
Introduction of the brand LITIO, which included all items produced by Litec, to complete the range of distributed ones.

• 1994
Launch of Cablecross (polyurethane cableguards), Cablegrip (Velcro cable ties) and Gelpack (the first pre-cut coloured gel dispenser).

• 1995
Began the manufacture of own aluminium structures, with the opening of a ca. 700sqm production facility in Marcon, Venice.

• 1995
Completion of the truss range with the introduction of WINCHER (the first hoist made entirely of aluminium) and TOWERLIFT (the first compact aluminium lifter with built-in lifting system).

Extension of the truss range with the heavy duty line, beginning of its' export business.

Development of the roofing systems and enhancement of the (R&D) technical department.

Aluminium structures become the core business of the company, sold under the Litec umbrella brand.

Relocation to a new 2000 sqm site in Marcon, Venice, Italy with a further boost to its sales, production and technical functions and resources.

Launch of the new professional High Load and LIBERA System products, which set the highest standards for professional modular structures.

Expansion of the distribution network in Europe and the Middle East. Launch of LITECAD, the first specific configuration software for simplifying 3D design based on Litec structures.

Launch of the New logo in line with the company image for presentation world-wide, consistent with its market leadership position.

Signed distribution agreement with Columbus McKinnon, start up of the rigging sector with the production of control systems for electric hoists under the EXE brand.

Technical update of the whole Standard and Heavy Duty lines, with plates made using new materials and heat treatments to increase performance and safety.

Relocation to Mogliano Veneto, Treviso, Italy with new production facilities of over 6000sqm and offices.

Extension of its production capacity with a new 2500 sqm manufacturing plant in Slovakia, dedicated to the manufacture of standard products.

Introduction of LIBERA 105, the structure with the highest performance in the whole range.

Changed company name to Staging Systems Europe S.p.A.. to accommodate the integration of all European staging systems operations and consolidate the management of its brands: Litec and Tomcat.

The new line of rectangular trusses RF40 is introduced to complete the range of products. It is strong and compact offering excellent performance for size.

Launch of EXE-Lodestar®C1 chain hoists for use in entertainment business.

Started producing Folding Truss 100, with a triangular section in working position and a flat section while being transported.

LITEC completes the high-performing 105 family with RL105 and PL105 trusses and the Sleeve block/Corner box 105.

Introduction of QP30, a direct evolution of the most widely used truss QX30S with the end plate; the new roofing system in RL105A and PL105 folding trusses; LIBERA Alusfera 2.0 for better performances; PRE-RIG for supporting and transporting moving heads.
