Alfa City represents the biggest gathering of Alfa cars in Central Europe. This year Alfa City 100 was held at the Monostor castle outside the city of Komárom, Hungary, on Saturday 29th May 2010 and was organised by the online community AlfaAmore founded five years ago by Alfisti to share photos of their cars online.
The event was all the more extraordinary because it fell on the centenary of Alfa Romeo and because of this momentous occasion festivals are being organised all around the world. The highlight of the event was the Hungarian première of the Giulietta, the brand-new C-segment model from Alfa Romeo.
Regal Seton, LITEC’s exclusive distributor in Hungary, supplied the trussing systems through Beklaar Ltd. The entrance gates were constructed from more than 150m of QX30S and QD30S, whilst the stage was a special 2-floor 9x5.5m structure built from LIBERA FL52 trusses. There was a need to make a double floor stage for actors to play Romeo and Juliet. With LIBERA FL52 the building of the second stage floor was very easy by only combining the 0.5m, 1.5m, 2m grids.
Approximately one thousand cars and five thousand participants attended the largest Alfa Romeo jamboree. A quarter of the visitors arrived from abroad, mainly from Hungary's neighbouring countries (Croatia, Slovakia, Romania and Serbia), but Alfa Romeo owners drove from as far as Poland and Germany.
