At ProLight+Sound in Frankfurt we launched our new Product Catalogue.

LITEC is going to take part in ABTT Theatre Show through its two UK distributors, AC Entertainment Technologies and Actus Industries.

LITEC presents the new series of electric chain hoists, EXE Rise. After a 20-year experience first in distributing Columbus McKinnon chain hoists at an international level, then the realization of the EXE-Lodestar series responding to the stringent criteria of BGV-C1 regulation and obtaining several prizes for its innovation, and finally the production of the LITEC Hoists, the company proposes this new product line which has been totally designed, engineered and built in Italy.

LITEC's Czech distributor, MusicData, have recently shared some nice pictures of a rumbling project for the exhibition "Captured by Motorbikes". The whole event was carried out by their customer RENTAL Pro from Brno.

At ProLight+Sound in Frankfurt, LITEC showcased many brand new products.

At ProLight+Sound, which is taking place in Frankfurt, LITEC presents the new digital catalogue thought for a tablet use.

LITEC has just signed a new distributorship contract with the Moscow-based company "Light. Sound. Contractor." Under terms of that agreement "Light. Sound. Contractor." will distribute LITEC's truss systems, chain hoists and controllers in Russia.

This year too LITEC is participating in ProLight+Sound, which takes place in Frakfurt. Many premiere products are going to be showcased. To give you everything you need before you even know you need it!

Studio Berar has recently implemented a Project for Kanjiža Municipality in Tisa Region to help its  touristic development. The aluminium roofing system was made by the Italian manufacturer LITEC.

Czech Republic based trussing and staging manufacturer MILOS Group announces the recent acquisition of two leading trussing and staging brands – LITEC and TOMCAT.

For the Tour of Litfiba trussing systems of both LITEC and TOMCAT were used. In details, 24 arc pieces in QL52A trusses of LITEC were assembled to make the sinusoids, whilst 4' and 8 Stacking25 trusses of TOMCAT were used for the arc and the back trusses to set up the backcloth, curtains and lights.

Tiziano Ferro's "L'amore è una cosa semplice" Tour (i.e. "Love is a simple thing") started on 10th April in Turin touching the main Italian cities, and will end in July at the Olimpico Stadium in Rome.

STUDIO BERAR has recently delivered an arc Roofing System of LITEC's to the Cultural Center of Paracin.

This roofing system was set up in Paracin city for the welcome ceremony party of the 9th Serbian Student's Olympic Games, which will be held from 9-15th May in Sremska Mitrovica. The installation was successfully looked after by Studio Berar, directly before the opening ceremony.

On 23rd and 24th a Rigging Conference took place in Madrid in Spain. It was addressed to Spanish rigging professionals and had the objective to exchange information about different methods of work and standards applied to rigging.

In order to continue its commitment to spreading know how, LITEC together with its Spanish distributor EES sponsored Eric Porter's intervention.

Over these days we have heard rumors that we are currently verifying and he do hope visionary, that part of the structures in aluminium made by LITEC – Staging Systems Europe – which were used to build up the ground support in Trieste for Jovanotti’s concert on 12th December 2011, is circulating among operators of the sector after having been revised and authorize for new installations by Staging Systems Europe.

Considering the gravity of the damages the structures suffered from what happened in Trieste, we believe that no truss or any other components from Palatrieste Sports Hall should be used again because this action could compromise the safety of the whole structure.

Moreover, we take this opportunity to communicate that Staging Systems Europe has never done any examination or inspection on that material.

LITEC has just taken part in PL+S and showcased many new and premier products: QP30, Pre-rig 96, MyT Steroid and the Adjustable Corner among trusses, Roofing System 105 and Alusfera 2.0 among the roofing systems, and LITEC Hoists.

All the products were welcomed by visitors very warmly.

The participation of LITEC in ProLight+Sound 2012 was very successful both from the point of view of the number and high professionalism of visitors.

LITEC will have its booth in Hall 9.0 D19 and showcase MANY NEW and PREMIER PRODUCTS.

LITEC is very pleased to announce the appointment of two new Distributors in Norway and Austria, i.e. Norwegian Scene Technology AS and Signal Sound & Light Distribution GmbH respectively.

Studio Berar installed the latest generation lighting system fully meeting the needs of the theatre, which included several fixture models, dimming units and control systems. Along with the lighting system, the company set up a LITEC aluminium structure in QX40S.

TOMCAT is proud to participate once again in LDI trade show in Orlando where the company starts to celebrate its 25th Anniversary with customers, partners and friends.

LITEC have taken part in PLASA at AC-ET's booth (Earls Court 1  Stand E10), which took place in London from 12 to 15th September 2010. Many visitors were present at the trade show coming mostly from the UK, and showed great interest in our products showcased on that occasion.

HSL designed and built two special stage sets including DJ booths - complete with Litec trusses and inbuilt digital and conventional lighting - for DJs Steve Angello (from the Swedish House Mafia) and Eric Prydz, who played the main stage at the 2009 Global Gathering event on July 25.

HSL was approached by Duncan Holmes from BPM Special Effects just 10 days before the event staged at Long Marsden Airfield in Warwickshire, UK, and asked if they could create and build a unique visual concept for both artists. They wanted something to add impact, excitement and atmosphere to both their performances - which took place in bright daylight and touching dusk.

The new General Purpose is NOW available. It has been conceived according to the guidelines of the website and all the other communications means with the goal to strengthen the image and consolidate the identity of LITEC.

The catalogue includes the products of the Display, Standard, Heavy Duty and Heavy Load series as well as the Towers, Roof Systems and Accessories. Every product family opens with an exemplifying installation picture, the presentation of the points of strength and the illustration of all specific products from a technical and commercial point of view.

A.C. Rigging, a division of A.C. Entertainment Technologies Ltd., has supplied a Litec Maxitower 40 ground support truss system to leading film and TV lighting hire company Panalux for the filming of ‘Crisis Control’, a major new BBC Children’s TV series. ‘Crisis Control’ is a high-tech role-play show where two teams of children use their judgement and initiative to regain control in the midst of a variety of natural & man-made emergency situations.

The show’s production team needed a futuristic, industrial feel to the set design. After researching various locations, they chose the unusual aesthetics of a former Ministry of Defence vehicle climatic test chamber, located on the site of the QinetiQ film and TV studio in Chertsey. When it came to installing a temporary lighting grid in this unique space, the location presented a challenge for the Broadcasting & Events division of Panalux.
A site survey revealed that the chamber walls were covered with 2ft of insulation foam, and the ceiling of the chamber housed a huge panning and rotating 10t crane assembly, that had been immobilised. This meant that the typical method of flying the lighting grid from the venue’s structure was not possible, and the crane offered no viable solution, so the only option would be a ground support system.

Panalux were quick to realise that the Litec Libera truss system would be an ideal solution to create a lighting grid for this project. They had been considering investing in Litec Maxitower 40 truss towers for some time - a ground support system ideally suited to the Litec Libera FL52 truss, thus making their existing stock even more versatile. This was the ideal project to allow them to make that investment.

Panalux Project Manager, Adam Howard, commented: "Quite often we go into venues and the lighting grid flying points don’t line up with the venue rigging points, which can cause a few issues. By investing in the towers, we now have a highly flexible, modular grid system that we can configure to suit whatever venue we supply. The beauty of the Litec Libera grid system is that it gives the production much more choice over lighting positions to suit the set. Its flat design makes valuable storage and shipping space minimal compared to generic truss."

As with their existing Litec inventory, the Maxitower 40 truss towers were purchased from A.C. Rigging, the exclusive UK distributor for Litec. The towers were delivered in just over a week to meet tight deadlines and installed along with the Libera grid, lighting and control fixtures by Panalux.

The actual installation consists of a 14m by 14m ground supported Libera FL52 grid, rising 7m high and with the use of cantilever sections, designed to comfortably fit the venue. The truss towers were dressed and lit to become an integral part of the show’s futuristic set design.
Panalux Managing Director, Ed Pagett, commented: "We use Litec products because of the support we receive from A.C. Rigging and because it’s a well engineered, well thought out product. The Maxitower 40 truss system can support very heavy loads and it is compatible with the large amount of Litec QX30S truss we stock. Inevitably, this will help us to make an even greater return on our investment."

LITEC supports Doctors with Africa CUAMM, a non governmental organisation (NGO) in the field of healthcare which works to develop respect for the fundamental human right to health, and ensure that healthcare services are available to everyone.

Doctors with Africa CUAMM  has chosen to focus its work in the African continent, and is today present in 7 African nations, with a total of 85 volunteers working on 32 different projects.

For Christmas 2008 the donations of LITEC and many other companies have been pledged to help building up and managing a children's malnutrition center at the hospital of Wolisso in Ethiopia.

Exe-Lodestar C1 has won the coveted Award 2007 for the category “Stage Tecnology” at Showtech Berlin. The prize was collected by Ultralite Deutschland Haerle Lichttechnik GmbH, our German distributor.

Litec participates in Plasa, the leading showcase for new technology within the entertainment, live event, corporate, architectural and installation industry. Like the last two years, Litec is going to share the booth with another brand of the group, IFF Advanced Rigging. Litec invites you to its booth to show you some innovative and highly performing products.

On the 1st of April the Litec distributor Electrosonic held its heavy weight staging olympics, showing of Litec truss and new Martin Professional products to 150 of the cream of South Africa’s rental and staging companies. It was a fun-filled, informal evening where everyone could interact in a different environment and where they could touch and play with the new equipment and where everyone could socialize over a game of pool, table tennis or in the boxing ring.

The Trussing&Rigging courses at Litec have started; dozens of people coming from all over Europe and the Middle East are going to attend Litec training programme.
Recently four women have taken part in the workshop: Eleonora Perissinotto and Cristina Villa of Litec Customer Service, and Cristina Rodrigues and Dora Candeias of Verylight. The feedback we have received so far is extremely positive and encourages us to go on in the future.

On 25th February 2008 at the Trade Fair in Bergamo, APIAS organized a workshop on the regulations in the Italian show business world, recently redefined by some European countries.
