TX30SA launch base!

On 5 May, the SFR0 rocket was launched from the Aremogna plateau (Roccaraso, province of L’Aquila), reaching an altitude of 1,250 metres while defying adverse weather conditions.

THRUST (Transdisciplinary Hybrid Rocket University Student’s Training) is an innovative project by the University of Padua involving a team of students committed to developing an ambitious programme, with materials and technologies entirely designed and built in-house.

The LITEC team had the pleasure of supporting this journey from the outset, providing the structure for the launch base, built using TX30SA trusses. A special corner joint was also designed to connect the base trusses with those of the launch tower.

“The solidity and precision of the structure ensured optimal alignment and a stable lift-off of the vehicle, making a decisive contribution to the success of the operation,” said a team spokesperson.

LITEC wishes the entire THRUST Student Project UniPD team every success in achieving their ambitious goals.
